President's Word.....
Welcome to the I.C.P.C. website.
As a member of the fast paced society of the northeastern part of our country, I
find it compelling to remind myself and my fellow readers of some great words of
wisdom from the All Wise.
In verses 35 to 38 of Chapter 24 of the Noble Quran entitled “Noor” or Light,
Allah (swt) sets forth a parable in which He describes Himself as the light of the
skies and the earth, a supreme light unlike any other, for mankind to be guided
by.
He further explains that such a light is lit in houses which Allah has permitted
to be raised to honor, that His name may therein be remembered. In them He is glorified
in the mornings and in the evenings by men whom neither merchandise nor trade diverts
them from the remembrance of Allah, nor from regular prayer, nor from the practice
of regular charity. Their only fear is from the Day when hearts and eyes will be
overturned. That Allah may reward them according to the best of their deeds, and
add even more for them out of His grace, for Allah provides for those whom He will
without measure.
The houses mentioned above are Allah’s houses of worship, and the
Day is the Day of Judgment. A house of worship is the place where we can put things
in their right perspectives. It is a place to redefine our motives in life.
We all find ourselves running continuously from place to place, day in and day out,
many times questioning our purpose in life. But for those who make regular visits
to the House of Worship seeking Allah’s true guidance, their purpose in life becomes
very clear. This purpose is evident in all their actions where ever they may be.
The ornaments that divert most will not divert them, and should they stumble from
time to time, they will be quick to repent and adhere tighter to the guidance of
their Lord. They are labeled “religious” whereas they are simply being obedient
to their Creator so that they may reap the rewards of the ultimate life in the Hereafter.
In doing so, they live a life of content and full satisfaction in life on earth
regardless of their wealth, social status, or any other measure commonly used to
measure success.
Our aim at I.C.P.C. is to provide the programs and education that produce such quality
members of society, of both genders and of all ages. We intend to change the trend
of individualism and declining morale to one of caring and self consciousness. Members
of our center should strive for the betterment of themselves, their families, their
neighbors, and their community at large. For the America we live in can only be
as good as the sum of its citizens.
I hope that you enjoy our website and find the information that you may be looking
for. I look forward to your comments and suggestions, and please come visit us at
the center. I’m sure you will find Allah’s light awaiting you.
